We stayed in a hotel. We traveled around and stayed in guest houses. Every year we like to get away and rent a cabin near the beach. We went camping.

Did you see the sights? What are the main tourist attractions? We did some sightseeing. We went on a sightseeing tour. We had a guided tour. We went on an organized tour/excursion to… We went to the beach and did some sunbathing. If you go, it is really worth having a guided tour.
