SOME PHONE EXPRESSIONS

1. You want to phone Bob
2. You look up the number in the directory.
3. You listen for the dial tone.
4. You dial the number.
5.  The telephone rings.
6. The switchboard operator answers.
7. The operator transfers your call.
8. Someone picks up the phone.
9. You get through.
10. Someone answers the phone.
11. You ask to speak with Bob.
12. Bob is sick.
13. You leave a message asking Bob to call you back.
14. Peter takes down the message.
15. You thank the person for his help and say goodbye.
16. You put the phone down/ hang up.
