WARY (WEAR ee) - to be alert, cautious, on guard, watchful.
Examples:
1. Always be wary when you wake up and feel something hairy.
2. Donna was wary of snakes in her yard.
3. We were always wary of making mistakes in our chemistry experiments.
ACHILLES' HEEL- A person's weakness or the vulnerable spot in his or her character.
Examples:
1. We've got to find his Achilles' heel if we hope to defeat him.
2. John apears to be a highly respected citizen, but I'm sure that he has his Achilles'
heel.
3. Every person has his own Achilles' heels.
Note:
*Achilles was a figure in Greek mythology who was invulnerable in battle except
for his heel. It was the one weak spot on his body.
